Light Shine Ministries develops relationships with businesses and organizations throughout the service area to provide the necessary services, resources, and education for the clients we are privileged to serve.  A few of the service partners we work with in our pilot program in Texas are listed below:
 
 
 
  • The Bulverde Food Pantry (www.bulverdefoodpantry.org), a partner agency with United Way Comal County (www.uwcomal.org) provides assistance with food and clothing to meet immediate, crisis needs for our clients.

  • The Hope Center (www.rchopeministries.com), is able to provide financial support, food, clothing, and household items for their clients.  The Hope Center also operates a Thrift Store.
 
  • Communities In Schools of South Central Texas  (www.cisnewbraunfels.org) is one of LSM's sources of client referrals.  Working directly with CIS counselors in various community schools, individuals and families in need are referred based on current and anticipated needs and their probability of success in the LSM program.

 

  • The Institute of Pastoral Care  (www.ipcsanantonio.org) is a referral center for clients needing professional care through counseling, consulting, and training.  
    The Institute's areas of expertise include individual, family, marriage and children's counseling.

 

  • Methodist Healthcare Ministries of South Texas, Inc. (www.mhm.org) is a faith based, non-profit organization created to provide care thru health related programs and services in South Texas.  MHM is a referral source for low income persons in need of medical or dental services in the area.

 

  • SAMMinistries, San Antonio  (www.SAMM.org)  is the largest provider of shelter and supportive services for the homeless in San Antonio.  Much more than food and shelter, SAMMinistries provides multiple services including emergency shelter, transitional living and learning, transitional housing, and a aftercare program for follow-up support.
